Television luminary Surbhi Shukla is poised to captivate audiences anew as she stages a compelling return after a four-year hiatus with the enigmatic series, 'Shaitani Rasmein,' now gracing the screens of Star Bharat.

In candid acknowledgment of the industry adage, "out of sight is out of mind," Shukla shared insights into the risks associated with prolonged absence from the small screen. Reflecting on her hiatus, she disclosed, "I know it's a substantial risk to stay away from the screen, particularly in an industry where new faces command attention daily." Despite recognizing the gamble, Shukla embraced the hiatus for personal and professional evolution, delving into the realm of South Indian cinema during the industry's slowdown amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Venturing beyond lead roles, Shukla secured positions in two South Indian films, 'Rani' and an untitled project. Her resurgence on television materialized with 'Shaitani Rasmein,' a show not only marking her comeback but also reuniting her with director Nikhil Sinha, a collaborator from the acclaimed 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev.'

Speaking about the mysterious new show, Shukla expressed enthusiasm, stating, "It's more than just a comeback; it's a grand return with my latest association with Star and Nikhil Sinha’s banner, 'Triangle Film Company.'" Drawing parallels to cherished childhood tales, she added, "It transports you to childhood, reminiscent of our Dadi-Nani ki Kahaniya (Granny’s Stories) - a tapestry woven with the supernatural and the ghostly."

In 'Shaitani Rasmein,' Shukla embodies Arohi, the elder daughter-in-law in a family entangled in a tapestry of desires and mysterious rituals. Offering a glimpse into her character, she revealed, "As the story unfolds, layers to my character will be revealed; however, I'd prefer to keep it a surprise and suspense." The show promises to unfurl a gripping narrative, seamlessly blending familial bonds with supernatural elements.
