Luxury fashion expert and image consultant Disha Vadgama, who has spent over a decade working across luxury fashion, personal styling and image consulting, believes the definition of fashion itself has undergone a dramatic transformation.

She believes women entrepreneurs are driving one of the biggest shifts in professional fashion by embracing authenticity over convention.
"We're seeing women choose clothes that reflect who they are rather than who society expects them to be. Confidence is replacing conformity, and that's the biggest fashion revolution of our generation."
An equally strong advocate of Indian craftsmanship, Disha believes the country's textile heritage deserves a far bigger place in global luxury conversations.
"India has centuries of craftsmanship that the world admires. We don't need to imitate global luxury—we have every opportunity to define it in our own voice."
She also cautions against confusing trends with identity in the age of social media.
"Trends are temporary. Reputation isn't. The most successful professionals aren't remembered because they followed fashion; they're remembered because they created a signature identity that people instantly recognised."
For Disha, personal branding extends far beyond clothing. It encompasses body language, communication, grooming, etiquette and consistency.
"Fashion doesn't create confidence—it reveals it. The goal is never to become someone else. The goal is to become the most authentic, confident version of yourself."
As India's professional landscape continues to evolve, Disha believes image consulting will become as important as leadership coaching and communication training.
