Baba Ram Rahim’s Dera Sacha Sauda Leads Mega Cleanliness Drive in Gurugram & Flood Relief in Punjab

Gurugram Witnesses a Mega Clean-Up Campaign

In September 2025, under the banner of “Clean Haryana”, more than 1,00,000 volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda actively participated in a historic cleanliness mission across 46 major locations in Gurugram. Within just 7 hours, over 2,800 tonnes of garbage was cleared.

This campaign gained visible support from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, and district administration.

This was not the first such drive. Under the pious guidance of Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Ji, DSS has been conducting Mega Sanitation Drives since 2011. In March 2022, the 34th Cleanliness Drive in Gurugram engaged nearly 4,00,000 volunteers, echoing the message “Ho Prithvi Saaf, Mite Rog Abhishaap” (“Cleanse the planet earth to remove dirt and curse”).

Alongside its civic drives, Dera Sacha Sauda has also been a frontline responder in Punjab’s recent floods. Through its welfare wing, the Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare committee, thousands of volunteers reached disaster-hit zones with immediate relief and rescue.

Notable Relief Actions by DSS Volunteers:

• Rescue & Evacuation: Hundreds of people from low-lying areas in Patran, Samana, Monnak, and Shutrana were evacuated safely using boats and vehicles.

• Food, Water & Medical Aid: Community kitchens, ration distribution, clean drinking water, medicines, and animal feed were supplied. Baba Ram Rahim Ji’s teachings of selfless service inspired volunteers to work day and night.

• Strengthening Embankments: Volunteers built sandbag walls near river Ghaggar, saving homes, farmlands, and entire villages.

• Coordination with Authorities: DSS coordinated with district administration, Red Cross, and NGOs, ensuring timely and effective delivery of relief.
