Weak start in stock market, Sensex slips 500 points, Nifty below 25050
After a sluggish start, the Sensex has slipped by 500 points. At the same time, the Nifty went below 25,050. At 9:56 am, the Sensex fell 521.30 (0.63%) points to reach 81,650.46. On the other hand, the Nifty slipped 129.25 (0.51%) points to trade at 25,015.85.

Due to weakness in banking stocks, the domestic stock market is seeing a decline for the second consecutive day. After a sluggish start, the Sensex has slipped by 500 points. At the same time, the Nifty went below 25,050. At 9:56 am, the Sensex fell 521.30 (0.63%) points to reach 81,650.46. On the other hand, Nifty slipped 129.25 (0.51%) points to trade at 25,015.85.
Due to weak employment figures in the US and concerns over limited growth in the private sector, it is expected that the Federal Reserve may reduce the policy interest rate by 50 basis points in its meeting to be held on 17-18 September. Meanwhile, selling is seen in the equity market. The US non-agricultural sector employment is expected to come after the Indian market closes on Friday and this is expected to determine the direction of the market in the coming week.
